The Secret To making “The Impossible” A Reality

Do you remember a time when you came up with a great idea about something you wanted to accomplish but immediately talked yourself out of it by telling yourself that it was impossible and could never happen? What was your thought process at that time? Do you know that if you can think a thought and come up with an idea, it means that you have the power to achieve it? How about deciding to double your monthly income in a short period of time or deciding that you will turn your yearly income into your monthly income? How about that exotic vacation that you have been yearning for? How about that idea for your dream home that you have been nurturing for a long time? Do you think that you can get what you want?

What is impossible?

It is simply something you have never done before and you do not know or understand  how you are going to do it. For example you may want to improve your income, health, relationships or business but have no idea about the specifics or the steps you are going to take to get you there. Does that mean that it cannot be done? Absolutely not!

How Do You make that “impossible dream” possible?

  1. Identify What You Want

    Carve out some quiet time for you to fantasize your goal.I usually do my fantasizing after my morning or evening meditation or after a Yoga session when I am relaxed and in a state of allowing. You know what activities to do that will put you in that state. Once you are relaxed, state your intention and let your imagination run wild. See yourself being, having and doing that thing that you want and feeling so good about your accomplishment. While in this peaceful and relaxed state, carve out the details of your goal and fine tune each detail as the inspiration comes.

  2. Decision

    Decide that going forth, you are ONLY going to participate in activities that you enjoy and support your goal and also that you are going to spend your time with people you enjoy spending time with and support your growth and you theirs. Hold on now….I am sure those voices in your head (your beliefs) will put up a fight against your new decision and will tell you all the reasons why it will not work but stay with me for a little while.

  3. Work Out Your Self-Image

    Note that you created the results that you now want to change due to a certain way of thinking and being. In order for you to keep working your goal, you will have to change how you see yourself. Meaning you will have to work on changing your thinking and developing new habit patterns that will enable you to get where you want to go. How do you that? You simply have to start to see yourself doing it and you have to  start to believe that you can do it. One of the tools I use are powerful statements(affirmations) about myself and my abilities that I create and write down everyday. You and I have an image of ourselves buried deep within us which controls every aspect of our lives (productivity, income, relationships, effectiveness, health) and the results we get are just a reflection of this self-image. So if we want to change… we have to start by changing this image and replacing them with a new healthy image.

  4. Internalize Your Goal (Belief)

    Now that you have identified what you want. Do you believe that you can accomplish it? Belief is simply having an inner knowing and trust that you will get what you want regardless of what everyone else is saying or regardless of your current circumstances.  You can create belief by spending the majority of your time thinking about your goal, playing with the different ideas, feeling the emotions of the accomplishment of the goal and so on. If you think about your goal and see yourself with it enough times, I can guarantee you that you will start to believe in it and then your actions will start to change because you are in harmony with your goal. For example if in the past you had a hard time waking up early in the morning to work on your goal, you will notice that you look forward to waking up early in the morning to work on your goal achieving activities. Belief is an ongoing process that you have to work on.

  5. Repetition

    Repetition is the first law of learning. Repeat the process daily until it become second nature  to  you. A habit is anything you do automatically without thinking and effortlessly such as  driving your car, dressing up, shaving, writing with your left or right hand. We develop these  habits through repetition over a period of time until they firmly become ingrained in us. So it only makes sense that we can also change by practicing the new habit patterns which we want to develop until they become second nature to us.

  6. Let Go And Let In

    Now that you have done the work of building the image and internalizing it, the first order of business is complete. Sit back, relax and watch how all the cooperative components fall into place to assist you in bringing your vision to life. When your believe, you have access to a greater power within you and with that power comes leverage.

  7. Act From Inspiration

    Act on any ideas, feelings, hunches that come to you. For example if you get an idea to call someone, call them. If you hear about a business opportunity and you have a calling to get on board, get on. If you awake in the middle of the night to an idea, write it down and act on it immediately. When you act from inspiration there is no effort. You should feel good about what you are doing. Give yourself permission to play a bigger game!

  8. Enjoy The Journey

    Have fun with the process. Make time for self-care, make time for your loved ones. It is the journey (who you grow into and how you continuously re-invent yourself) and not the destination that’s the PRIZE.
